BMW Next 100 Concept Showcase, Camden Roundhouse

We became aware of BMW Next100 whilst waiting for a train to a client meeting at Waterloo station. The now de-rigueur virtual reality experience was framed with a shiny futuristic podium and staff eager to get an Oculus headset over our ears. We didn’t have time to get involved, as our train was due to leave, but we walked away with a make-at-home cardboard VR box and a leaflet. If we had had time, we could have been whisked back home to Camden roundhouse in a brand new BMW i3 to visit the exhibition.

New Tate Modern

This weekend saw a new high point added to the cultural landscape of London: the opening of the Tate Modern’s Switch House extension, designed by Herzog & deMeuron.

The opening bonanza was delivered in partnership with Uniqlo – so we went to find out what London’s favourite Japanese fashion retailer was bringing to the party.

Michael Kors Store, Regent Street, London

Last month, US luxury retailer Michael Kors opened the doors to its largest European flagship spread over three floors on London’s Regent Street. We went to see it on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, now that the novelty fanfare has died down.

Veggie Pret, Pret a Manger

This month, lunchtime favourite Pret a Manger are inviting diners to try their range of vegan and vegetarian options at their newly opened ‘Veggie Pret’ restaurant in Soho. The pop up, which opened yesterday, will remain meat free throughout June, and is serving as a test bed for products that could be set to roll out across the chain’s UK restaurants.
