Nissan wanted a new and exciting retail experience for its ‘City Hub’ flagship in the Velizy 2 shopping centre in south west Paris. We were asked to create an eye-catching destination with impact, that would disrupt shopper journeys and attract new customers to the brand from a much wider demographic and age range than their standard showrooms.
We worked closely with the Nissan team to realise their bold vision for the City Hub concept, bringing it to life as a uniquely immersive blend of art and innovation.
As well as acting as consultants throughout the design development and build, we were responsible for conceptualising the signature digital content that plays on the store’s giant LED screens.
We commissioned Found Studio and worked with them to produce two bespoke animations to play in symmetry on screens that wrap from the floor, across the entire ceiling and up the front fascia, immersing the customer in the rich 6k quality content.
Focusing on ‘realism’ and ‘abstract’ perspectives, these two loops complement one another, creating movement and an ambience that brings the showroom to life, without overpowering the space, product or staff.
The Nissan City Hub is a unique omnichannel concept; its innovative customer engagement, staffing and new way of buying is made possible by a seamless interplay of online and offline touchpoints.
This flagship is Nissan’s first City Hub store, creating a new way for customers to interact with the Nissan brand.
